Carol Thompson is an experienced educator, outdoorswoman, wife and mother living in Alaska for more than 45 years, who now divides her time between Alaska and Colorado. Her three decades of work in education include teaching in urban and rural areas with high performing students, low performing students, and students from a broad spectrum of ethnic and demographic backgrounds. For the last ten years, she has worked as an expert consultant in reading and language arts instruction. She works closely with staff, including principals and paraprofessionals, utilizing her depth of experience to address useful, diverse topics that are often overlooked with traditional curriculum programs.
